The Baby Chronicles: It's a BOY!

Today was such a beautiful day for Jacob and I as we watched our very obvious and very hyperactive boy turn rolls in my tummy. He was truly hamming it up for us and we enjoyed every moment of it. I didn't want to leave the ultra sound room as Ilijah was reaching out to us. He was so curious as to what was going on. Often he would reach up and push against the wand of the ultra sound with his little hand. It was as if the wand were a toy or something for him to do while he sat in his tight quarters. He has yet to settle down today. He and his father are just anxiously awaiting the day that he will come into this world. Jacob wanted to ask the doctor if we could just go ahead with the delivery today. We would have loved to have you all in the room with us during this absolutely amazing experience. Family, thank you so much for all you do and will continue to do for us. We cannot wait till Ilijah gets to meet each and everyone of you.

Baby's Day Out

So today marked exactly one month since Keesha's pregnacy sickness has been really bad. She has basically lived on the couch or in the bathroom for the last month. She was feeling okay this morning, so I decided that I would take my wife and my baby out hiking. It's one of Keesha's favorite things to do. Plus, when you sit infront of a computer 40 hours a week, it's nice to get away. We went to Durant Nature Park in Raliegh. It was pretty awesome. It was the closest thing that Wake Forest has to "mountains." You don't realize how much you love the Blue Ridge Mountains until you move away. Anyway, we had a great time!

The Baby Chronicles: The Due Date

So Keesha's first appointment with Obi Wan Kenobi (I mean the Ob/Gyn) was this afternoon. It was pretty sweet (well besides the fact that our Doctor was pretty wierd. Keesha thought he might be on drugs). Let's just say that we would say stuff to him, but it never seemed to register. He kinda had his own agenda. But anyway, this blog is not about the wacko doctor, it's about our new awesome baby that looks like an alien right now. The Doctor did decide to do an ultra-sound and now we know the due date! AUGUST 17. This is later than we orginially thought. But it is pretty close to my B-day. So here is the pic. It was a pretty crazy feeling seeing our baby's heartbeat and everything. Wow! Amazing stuff.
